I am back a few weeks now, so not quite up to date. At that time the route of the road was evident and ground preparations well advanced but I don't think any tarmac had been laid. Given how long it has taken to get this far I reckon it will be a few more months yet before it is completed.

Question

At Easter we drove down part of it (the middle section, as it's barriered off at the ends) so it couldn't have been too bad although there was still the odd lamp post still sitting in the middle of the carriageway which you had to drive around!

I shouldn't think it's that many weeks away.

Anywayone with more definite news?

Perhaps the lamposts will stay as a feature tee hee, we are used to dodging them on the pavements after all.Only 28 days and i can get my PP fix. Thanks for the update.

From what I see and what I've been told it's due to be open for the main season.

Default New Road

Came back from PP last Monday. The road is progressing at a pace and I would be very surprised if the majority of it were not open by the end of May.
