Default new ideas

Hi sitting here one cold and wet english afternoon with some friends after watching a programe on living in spain about these mad or not so mad english who mortgage themselves up to the top to start a new buisness that they know nothing about in spain, started us all talking about what buisness we thought would be good in puertopollensa.
We have come up with builders merchants i e selling buildig sand paint buckets ladders plugs etc.Beauty salon for massages manicures etc and a bowls green. Would love your ideas and what you think would be needed in puerto pollensa.

Default Don't do it!

Perhaps a good business opportunity would be a franchise from a Swiss Assisted Suicide Company catering for those who misguidedly thought that selling building materials, manicures or running a bowling green was in any way likely to secure their future financial security in PP!

Seriously, it's a very brave person who takes that particular plunge. Over the last 15 years I can think of a few business dreams shattered.

Mind you.....if any of you can come up with a real winner......

Having recently retired and taken up bowls in england I would love to be able to play when in PP, so good idea, I'm sure there would be lots of interest. I would also welcome a builders merchants having just received the keys to our apartment and now have lots of jobs to do.

My husband seems to think that a Dry Ski slope would be a good one!

Although having seen the snow on the Tramuntana mountains yesterday (back home now!), perhaps a Cable Car instead...

Wink

Just came across this and have to say we have a couple of builders merchants on the main road into pollensa. One is opposite Eroski supermarket, and on the same side as eroski on that estate is Plomers a kind of small b& q.
We used to have a bowling alley in the port but it closed teens of years ago. There is a bowling green on the road outside Magaluf, ther used to be an old aeroplane in front of it, don't know if it is still open for business.
And the minigolf in Cala san vicente is floodlit at night.
Sorry I don't know much about massage palours!
