Smile Back to the rain!!!

We have just spent a glorious 3 weeks in PP and loved every minute, it had been a couple of years since we had last been and l was a bit worried that it might have changed. As my husbands Tshirt says "No Worries".

We stayed the 1st half in Voramar13 on the pine walk with daughter, hubby and grandchildren 18mths and 3yrs, they loved it, sea, sand and undivided attention from grandparents, what more could they want. Did one massive shop in Eroski, walked there, daughter and l taxied back. Little worry when l went to pay, had one of those travel cards but they wanted passport which l didnt have on me, but no worries, driving licence or bus pass sufficed. Had to laugh tho as the cashier looked at my travel card and said is your name Mrs Money, anyone who has one of those will know what l mean. They work really well in supermarkets and restaurants.
We visited Pollenca not on market day which was lovely, could really appreciate the beautiful streets and buildings, had a wonderful tapas in Hotel Juma on square. Go in the church on the square on a sunny day to appreciate the stained window which throws the light down the aisle and then sideways as the sun moves, its breathtakingingley beautiful. Did the steps and also went down to the roman bridge.
Always difficult with little ones what to do in evenings, there is only so much they will take being trawled up and down the pinewalk, so we had paella takeaway from Ca'n Pescador on the pinewalk, which was lovely, need to leave 20 euro deposit for paella pan. Also had takeaway from Little Italy and Corb Marni, all excellent. Daughter and hubby went to Stay which was yummy and Nana and Grandad had a pizza!
When daughter and family went home, hubby and l decamped to Hotel Singala which was absolutely lovely, Josep and his staff couldnt have been more welcoming and friendly.
We ate at Little Italy, no more takeaways, Bar Coral where the shoulder of lamp is mouth wateringley good, met Senor Sigar in there, who advised us the left shoulder is the best!! Jordi, Ani and her daughter are so lovely. Went to Soller for the day on the bus, beautiful sceanery and had a great tapas in one of the tiny bars in the back streets, dont worry about traffic and cars reversing to within an inch of your chair, they know where you are, at least l think they do. Ate a couple of times at the chippy kiosk aka wimpy bar and again, very welcoming and really good value, you can go and sit on the pinewalk hopefully listening to some music from the Daina. Ate at El Posito where l think it is the best tumbet to have, met Sparky and hubby in there, so nice to put faces to names. Ate at C'an Ferrar where they always give you such a nice welcome and also at Brisas Marina, really good fish. Also discovered a laundry service in the streets back from El Posito where l had a hughe back of washing, whites and coloured which they did for 12E, beautifully washed (especially hubby's white shirt that was liberally splattered with sangria, iyiyiyi)and folded.
You can have a lovely pot of tea at Mirimar for just over 3E for 2 and you can get at least 2 cups each which is a nice break from the alchocol. We did the tapas route on our last fridayand we had such a good time, visted rustic bar, ivy garden, pascilono and ca'n tofol? l think, by then hubby and l were having such a lovely time, little bit of a headache next day but oh what a great time.
Highlight, hubby treated me to a meal at the Clivia in Pollenca, soooo lovely.
All in all a really lovely holiday, super people and service and when can we come back, tan fading by the minute in ther shropshire rain!!!
