Default Air con.

Hi All

We are going to miss the luxury of air conditioning this year and I was wondering if portable units could be hired in PP. Does anyone know if this is availlable and are they any good I'm sure they must be better than fans blowing hot air around the room.

Thanks

Timberman

Hello Timberman!!

You are out at the same time as us and I too am worried about being too hot!!

When we were out two weeks ago I'm sure I read that there is a place called "Multi Video" that hires portable aircon units and fans. I did wonder whether I could order one in advance.

Ooh! I've just found my copy of "Holiday in PP". Their email address is - multivideo1@terra.es or www.puertopollensa.com/multivideo .

Hope this helps!
Jane

Hi Jane
Thanks for the info I'll email them and see what they can offer. Robjay mentioned Marias bikes as well. I'll let you know.

I did post a reply on here the other night saying that you could hire AC stuff from Maria's, but it's gone .
Who owns Multi-Video, Please don't say it's part of the Mr C chain. Does that nice English guy still work at the now ex-Maria's or did he go too?.

HI JANE,
YOU DID HAVE THE CHANCE OF AN AIR CON APARTMENT REMEMBER?
I THINK YOU WILL BE VERY UNLIKELY TO BE ABLE TO HIRE WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND YOU SHOULD BOOK IN ADVANCE IF POSSIBLE.
SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE BOOKED WITH THEY MAY BE ABLE TO ARRANGE IT FOR YOU.
SORRY TO MISS YOU IN MAY BUT I WAS FILLING THE SQUARE OR NEPTUNO WITH CIGAR SMOKE MOST NIGHTS AND MOST LUNCH TIMES READING DAIRO DE MALLORCA TO TRY AND IMPROVE MY SPANISH.

Hello Senor Cigar

I did post to say we were sorry to miss you while we were in PP, but like all the other posts it's gone to the great forum in the sky.

Thank you for the tips for August - I will get on to Multivideo today to enquire about hire.

Although at the moment, I'd welcome being too hot! Summer? What summer??

Regards
Jane

Hi Jane,
Had a reply today from multi video as follows

Thank you for your enquiry. Air conditioning units are 60 Euros per week, and we ask for a 100 Euro deposit.

Multi Hire

Hello Timberman

Thanks for that post! Very helpful.

60 euros is about £42??

The one thing I dread on holiday is going to bed! I miss my own bed and then it's too hot to sleep so I am very tempted to invest in an aircon unit for some sweet dreams!

Thanks again.

Regards
Jane
