Another reason why I love PP
Have just returned from PP and am counting the days till I return ..... probably October
I love PP for many reasons but thought a recent experience was worth a post. Early one evening on the last Sunday in May we were walking down the pinewalk on our way to dinner ( Bodega Ferra aka The Little People ) when a guy came running towards us in great distress ...... followed by his wife, they had lost their 6 year old daughter ......... within minutes it seemed like everyone in the resort was looking for the little girl, scouring restaurants, checking groups of children to make sure she wasn't just obliviously playing with them, looking into shops etc etc ......... there was a happy ending, she had made her own way back to their apartment where the Police found her and soon reunited her with her Mum. However, it got me thinking ...... would this family have had the same , almost universal reaction of concern and help in all resorts ( including our own seaside resorts ) ......... I'd like to think the answer was yes , but I'm not so sure ......... I really do think PP brings out the best in people ......... or just attracts the best people ! |
What a nice story with such a happy ending.
Yes CD I agree this like so many other "nice" experiences are what make Puerto Pollensa so special to all of us. The minute we arrive at our hotel we can't wait to dump our cases and grab a table out front on the pine walk and soak in the atmosphere.Instant chill out guaranteed every time!. Puerto Pollensa & Pollensa are such laid back friendly towns, where the locals always seem to have a friendly smile and "Hola" for us. We love it there. Thank you again CD for yet another reason to Love PP. Rob & Caroline |
