Heading to Puerto Pollensa in a couple of weeks - need advice on availability of cash points etc. Should we bring tons of euros, or is it easy enough (and cheap enough) to use our bank debit cards in local ATM's?
We are a party of 5 (2 kids) and would prefer not to carry too much cash.

It's certainly easy enough there are several ATMs particularly on the Formentor Road but also one in the Caprabo supermarket & also at the airport. You can choose to read the instructions in English as well. So no need to bring loads of Euros, just take out what you need.

Hi Zip

Welcome to the forum.
You can use your normal debit cards in the hole in the wall, I think the charge is about £1.50 but If you have a Nationwide card they do not charge. I usually take some euros, then use the cash machines.

yup that's what we do too, start off with some euro's so you don't have to dash about finding somewhere to get money out as soon as you arrive, as you get to know the area, you will kind of automatically 'home in' on things like cash point machines (which are really easy to use ) and exchange (cambio) places. the majority of hotels will change any sterling up if you take any with you ,.... welcome to the forum by the way... and enjoy your holiday too !!!!!
