Ageism
Trawling through the internet today for 2007 holidays ( well I am retired !):( I noticed that more travel companies have a box now for senior citizens. It seems that we are not adults any more but obviously ready for the nursing home!I wouldn't mind if we got a discount for being aged but no. Do you think this is ageism or shall I take them to the european court?

Know what you mean when booking flights with First Choice they wanted to know how many senior citizens, do you think in the future they might start charging senior citizens more?

Yes, look at just about any website for flights and holidays and this is coming up now. Doesn't matter whether it is a flight to Palma or long haul anywhere in the world.
If the traveller has proper travel insurance, what does it matter? Travel industry buffs would probably say it helps to gather information, age wise, on those travelling. To me it is a load of tosh , dreamed up by the archetypal clowns who devise the software for so many of these sites, most of which are a pain in the tonsils to use anyway!:lol :lol |
