Default Getting to Mallorca without flying!

Hi, would really love to take my brother to PP but he wont fly. At the moment he drives to spain every year. Does anybody know how easy it is to get there without flying and how expensive it would be? Also journey time. Any advice would be really appreciated even if its "Dont do it you idiot!!!"

Thanks in advance

Sally

Hi Sally
Dont do it you idiot, no seriously, lots of people do it by ferry, with vans and removal lorries etc, you can drive to Barcelona then get the ferry to Palma. Try www.trasmediterranea.es/ for the ferry, you could even get the ferry to Santander, then just drive across Spain if you didn’t wont to drive down through France. Hope this helps

You can also get from Barcelona to Alcudia about three and a half hours by fast cat
My friends are coming this way this year

Thanks for the replies. Kieth, would you happen to know the ferry company that operates the sea cat to Alcudia?

Thanks

Sally

Hi,

I started a thread like this a while ago before our holiday in PP last August.

I have to say that the members did not hold back on their comments - but I think they had my best interests at heart!

p221.ezboard.com/fpollensaforumfrm23.showMessage?topicID=373.topic

In the end we flew with Air Berlin, but I'd still like to make the journey by car. One day I will!

Default getting to mallorca without flying

Hi

I have done the trip many times by car and can recommend it. Its nice to have a couple of overnight stops if you have the time.(or at least one)

Having said this I do prefer to fly only because you get there quicker and have more time in PP but it is a good experience.

Hi pops, we usually fly ourselves, but Mr T has nothing on my brother when it comes to flying!!! We just really want him to come to PP so he can see why we keep going on about it. Can you possibly give me some idea of cost for July/August time please. Cant get any info from the ferry companies dont think routes have been released yet.

Thanks

Sally
