Default Radio ?

Does anyone know of any English speaking radio stations that can be picked up in PP ?
I'm thinking something for news / local information / what's on etc, rather than just pumping music out.

Last year on holiday, when all the terrorist activity broke out, we were due to fly back and really wanted to find out some news of what was going on. I twiddled with our car radio for ages to try and find an English speaking station but had no luck at all.

The television in the villa only played videos so we were lost - a horrible feeling when we're so used to being bombarded with information. In the end I called the UK to find out the latest news.

I did a quick search and I saw something about Radio Mallorca being off the air - it looked like they broadcast in English so that might be something to listen out for in the future.

I've spent ages searching for an English service, but unfortunately I don't think one exists. As Jane says, Radio Mallorca seems to be off the air, and has been for a long while. We have satellite in the apartment, so listen to Radio 2, but I agree, a local English station would keep everyone informed. I for one would listen to it daily. Any entrepeneurs out there?

Last year we picked up an english station ...... not much chat but lots of old rock music and international and local news in english

The bad news is that we picked it whilst driving back from Porto Cristo and lost it on the new( ish ) road between Santa Margalida ( lovelly place btw ) and C'an Picafort
