Default Public lido and tennis

Hi

We are newbies to PP and have enjoyed the postingso on the forum. Going to PP in late August and my wife and I are very keen tennis players. The apartment we have has a pass to a public lido and tennis courts in PP.

Does anyone know details like opening hours, number of courts, do they hire rackets etc.?

Any info greatly received.

Terry,

I think you'll be unlucky re the Lido, see post on page 2 marked Public Swimming Pool ????. Not sure if this affects the tennis courts as well but there are tennis courts behind the Isla D'Or hotel which you can rent. You're obviously pretty fit playing tennis in this heat so good luck .

Have a good time

Default re Public Lido and tennis

Hi and welcome Terry.

As Bonyslad said, there are tennis courts behind the Illa D'or Hotel. That would be the ones at the Bonanca Bar, which presumably you pay as you go. when you get too hot, there is the pool there too and food and drinks, all in the same complex.

Enjoy!

Hi

We ( well our party , not myself ) have used the Bonancatennis courts .... you book them at the bar and they are pretty reasonable ......... from memory I think a couple of years ago they were about 12euros an hour

Also, if yu then finished off your game with a bite to eat at the Bonanca, you could make use of their pool all afternoon

Other option would be to go for the menu of the day lunch at Balaixa ( only 15euros a head ) and you can then stay there all afternoon and swim in their pool

There are also tennis courts to rent in Pollensa ......... opoosit side of main road from actual town

They also give tennis lessons at the Bonanca. We used to pass every day and hear the guys giving instructions in all sorts of languages!
