Default busses - help needed

we are staying in palma and on sunday we want to lunch in PP but dont want to hire a car as we all want to be able to drink. Palma to PP is easy enough by bus, but is there any way we can get from palma to Santa Maria for the market and then on to PP by public transport. i have searched the sites and cant suss it out. Any of you informed locals got any ideas... please??
