Default Migration to Yuku

Some of you may be aware that ezBoard where this forum is hosted is currently moving to a 'next generation' of community board called Yuku. We are being encouraged to migrate & I have agreed that we will so long as we have at least the facilities that we have today, all existing posts & members are successfully converted & that Yuku is not too difficult to use - am afraid there will always be some changes.

So far as it does not look too bad & we now have a temporary yuku forum at pollensaforum.yuku.com/ I haven't yet spent too much time testing it out as I think that it will be you, the members, who will pick up any problems & hopefully also see the benefits.

There are new facilities within the forum such as an improved search, photo galleries etc. See the announcement on this forum at About_Yuku

You should be able to logon using your existing userid. One hint - you can toggle the 'control panel' at the top of the screen off & on, by clicking on 'Navigation' top right.

I've set up a 'Yuku' forum for feedback & comments. Do post anywhere on the forum, try out the chat etc. but be aware that these posts will be lost & overwriiten when we migrate for real.

Thanks in advance for your help & co-operation,

Webmaster

PS please do not post on Yuku here but in the Yuku forum. If you cannot login or post, send me an ezInbox message.

Hi guys,

ths migration is quite imminent - probably mid-end October.

So if you would like to check that you can still logon, use the Chat etc., please try it out & add some posts ec. & give feedback in the Youku forum.

Just click on pollensaforum.yuku.com/

I would appreciate some help & feedback - thanks very much,

Zelda

Hi Pollensa,

I've just been in to the Yuku board - logged in with no problems and had a quick visit to Chat - again everything fine, but I couldn't reply to a post about the Active members. I tried three times and each time my post disappeared...

That's a worry Jane.

Please can you try adding a new post to the Yuku forum & try & member exactly what you did as there appears to be several ways of 'Replying' to a post & I wonder if some ways work & others don't.

& please can some other members have a go at posting new posts & replies.

Thanks

Jane,

have just had a look & I can see 3 replies - were these the ones you lost or new ones?

I've just had a look and the three original ones are there now!!

Is there a time delay between posting/replying and the message appearing?

Not quite sure what you mean by that, alidee...

I haven't changed the Tapas Bar over to Yuku yet so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Can you post to the Tapas Bar normally?

Jane

All seems to have gone a bit quiet!

Is this still happening, and if so, when?

Just to keep you all up-to-date as far I can. Although we were advised we were moving shortly, I've actually put that on hold as I had raised some issues about the test forum - which now seems to have disappeared - back in September & am STILL waiting for a response.

So I'm afraid I'm not too impressed with the service we have been receiving & am currently investigating an alternate means of hosting this forum.

I will try very hard not to inconvenience you or lose any of the posts.
