Default Schengen visa - help please!

Visa help

Bit of a long shot this. We are coming up PP in June with my daughter, her partner and their baby. My daughter’s partner is from Vanuatu and has residency rights here and has completed his citizenship and is awaiting the paperwork to get his British passport. It looks increasingly as though it will not arrive in time. He can travel on his Vanuatu passport but will need a Schengen visa from the Spanish Embassy. It seems that they have outsourced this process to an agency whose rating in trustpilot is very very low. Other agencies are advertising this service but when you contact them it’s “put £600 in our account and we’ll see what we can do “. Naturally we are very wary of this. Does anybody know of a reputable firm who would be able to assist? We have contacted the Spanish embassy but they just referred us to the original agency. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Sparky sorry if this is in the wrong place - please move as necessary!

Technically if you require a Schengen Visa you can obtain one from any of the Schengen Member States so if, for example, the French Embassy has a different agency they use to the one Spain uses, it would be possible to apply for the visa through them, Germany etc. on the pretext of an intended trip to one of those countries first. Once obtained, it can be used for travel to any Schengen Member State.

Thanks for the suggestion. We looked into this as we are travelling to France in October but unfortunately a visa would only be valid for 90 days. As I understand it both France and Germany require proof of travel (eg air ticket) and proof that you are staying there.
