It’s absolute bonkers. Someone or people at the Costas seem to be on a complete power trip leaving destruction of businesses, livelihoods and, if they get their way, the heritage and beauty of the Port in their wake…

Just spoken to reception in The Miramar, where we are staying again this August/September, who seemed to be oblivious of what is happening with regard to jetties. However, they assured me that they had paid their license for this season, and all would be as normal.

See you in the summer.

Cleaners and workmen at Capri so will be opening soon. Were removing all their jetty tables and chairs into their store so they seem to have given up hope of reopening there.

Yes - everything taken back out and 'jetty' dining back to normal. I presume that Costas Authority have renewed their licence

Let’s hope some common sense is returning and the Costas are/will back down more generally!

GG- is there any update on closure of Molins bar? We are now in PP and this is a favourite spot to visit and watch the sun go down.

Sorry to say the Molins Bar is closed. Was there yesterday, Bar with shutters down, no terrace furniture or sun beds on jetty terrace. Bar across at the always full carpark is busy as a consequence.

Today noticed that the sun terrace Sis Pins on the sea jetty is empty of everything and closed

Hoping all reverts to lovely normal soon

I rang The Sis Pins yesterday, and enquired if the terrace would be open this season or not, and also if they had paid their licence? The receptionist replied that things move slowly in Spain, and that whilst she wasn't sure about the payment situation, she did say that it could arrive tomorrow, or whenever.

Didn't clear much up, I know, but certainly wasn't negative.
