Unfortunately we didn't know there was an issue until now. We assumed everything was ticking along nicely with the software and have to hold our hands up, we didn't notice it.

We know everything on the website is way out of date, it's been on the to do list for far too long now which is sad as we're really passionate about it but settling in to life here has its hurdles and the website has had to take a back seat.

However, we have recently met with and instructed a great company based here in Puerto Pollensa to do the website revamp. They are super enthusiastic so all being well, PP will have a new look website full of updated information again soon.

Six weeks on, I'm wondering if any progress has been made on the above Toni??

We are thinking of coming in April for a quick visit, possibly to stop in SisPins, anyone any thoughts on this hotel?

Superb, slightly old fashioned Hotel in an unbeatable position, right on the seafront, near to the Main Square and Harbour, and various shops/restaurants. Room (sea view with balcony) clean, comfortable and relatively spacious. Breakfast (self service/buffet, full English and/or Continental, excellent quality and plentiful. Unlimited coffee, tea, fresh orange juice, etc. TV in room limited to about 8 English channels, plus numerous European channels. All round (in our opinion) first class !

We used to stay at Sis Pins every August & April for several years. We really liked it and would request our favourite room 215 which was sea facing with balcony.
Latterly we found it looking a bit tired. We appreciated the old-fashioned decor and staff were lovely. August had a lot of repeat guests which made it more of a social event on the sun terrace and could be tricky getting a sun bed! A regular guest from Scotland ( Sis Pins regulars will know
who), would look after us to make sure we had shade etc.
We enjoyed our visits to Sis Pins at that time but prefer The Miramar now.

Just back from a two week stay. The port etc. seemed very quiet compared too our trip in May and previous years. Beaches at Llenaire did not appear to be very busy at all.
Missed Can Surriel and the Embat Bar which both very handy for where we stay. Had no problems getting into our favourite restaurants with or without a booking.
The average prices appeared to be up compared to previous visits.
The taxi cab service still needs some improvement. Often long waits at the rank for any cab to appear. The price has increase from about E5.50 to E8.00 from Llenaire to the port.
The new Mallorcab system does not appear to be very user friendly. Hotel reception tried to get us a cab several times. Common result was "searching for driver" only to be amended to "cancelled" after a short wait. The worst being a booking at 18.45 with no show by 19.30. This not fair to the reception staff as they in the front line. Bad if it makes one late for a table booking.
It appears to be the old " computer says no! " syndrome. The drivers seem to be very selective and ignore trips within the port in favour of longer ones. A short sighted approach.
That's my usual moan! Had a great holiday really.

I've been wondering if the Port was quieter as you hear conflicting reports. Some saying it's busy and others suggesting otherwise.
I worry it will be unrecognisable by the time we can return.

We were on our second visit 3 weeks from 23/8. First week both PP and the area around was busiest we've seen, people and cars, parking difficult. Second week busy but better and third week (2nd week Sept) was just how we like PP, people around and some restaurants were turning people away without bookings.
Some things don't change too much, still the best for us.

We come out most months and I think it’s only August that is really busy. There are many more people hiring cars nowadays and parking is particularly difficult. Other than that, the place continues to charm.

I got back last night after a quick four night trip with some pals. I didn't think it was quiet...certainly not in the evenings, with all the restaurants and bars very busy. The beaches were quieter, but thats great for me, when I fancy a quick snooze.

This may interest dog owners... in a good way...

So, we got married on the 14th of September. Then, took a day off and then left Northants at 3am on monday sept 16th. We were in my camper van loaded with a new dining table, a sideboard and 4 dining chairs.

A quick blast across the channel on Le Shuttle. No questions asked about all the furniture in the back (there's no obvs customs post in Folkstone). We did a few scenic stops on the way down (msg me if you are thinking about doing a road trip in a camper as thats a bit off topic). We got to Sete by thursday morning and jumped on the ferry to Alcudia. No passport or customs, just a scan of an E ticket and on the boat we go. 12 hrs later we dock in Alcudia, roll straight out into the street and drive to Pollenca.

So the dog issue which surprised us (we didn't want to bring our dog on our honeymoon) was that the Corsica Sardinia Ferry lets you bring your dog into the passenger area. It wasn't crazy, but occasionally out on deck you got the odd Dog Off barkfest. No one was bothered by the doggos and we had a lot of chats with the owners... I dont know of any other ferry that lets you do that hence why its so popular. The boat itself was a bit tired but overall, folks remarked that it was much better than the Spanish boats.

Other than that, we had a great time. Camper van parking on the front at Llenaire, a few trips around (Coves de Campanet, Tren de Soller etc). A bit of chill. All good really.

I did have a go at buying a car from Terrys Car Hire but the timings didn't match up. I'll pop back in a few weeks and try again. I've also got in touch with Moto Formentor and they have a few cars coming up for sale...

Trip back was nice. Return ferry went to Toulon. Again Corsica Sardinia ferrys. 14 hours this time. A bit wobbly in the strong winds... then a few days in France and back to blightly on Le Shuttle.

Shuttle is £160 each way. I think the ferry was about £300 in total ?
