Default Sad times.

Many older members will remember the twins Danny and Tony, they worked in a few restaurants over the years and for a while they ran their own place L'Olivera where La Cabana is now and then operating a taxi airport service.

I am personally so sad to report that Tony has passed away due to cancer, he fought hard but is now at peace, the people of the Port gave him a good send off and Danny has given me permission to post this, naturally he is devastated at the loss of his twin .

I'm so sorry to hear this news, we enjoyed their service at L'Olivera on a few occasions.

Thoughts with his family.

I remember going to L` Olivera as our son loved it when he was young and he chatted football , endlessly with a lovely man who worked in the restaurant. Such good memories of this place. He wasn't very old was he ?

More sad news i am afraid. I have just been informed that long time member Snowy has passed away .

Snowy was a big character and was naughty at times which drove me crazy, but after we met face to face we understood each other better and got on well .

RIP Snowy it was a pleasure to have known you, sending condolences to your lovely wife and family.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Snowy has always been here long before I joined. Also some great banter with Bonyslad.

We met Snowy via the forum about 15 years ago and we often met up in both the Uk and PP. We had a fabulous meal with him and his family at Cellar La Parra last September and only 3 months ago went to his and his lovely wife Pam’s Golden Wedding celebration. He was on great form at both. He really was a lovely, genuine man with a wicked sense of humour. Oh the banter on the forum in the old days!! He was positive until the end and had planned a trip to his beloved PP later this year and a cruise.

We’ll miss you Snows

What a shock... so sad. We had the good fortune to meet up with Snowy at his golf club many years ago and had a lovely time. I have a great photo of Debz and Snowy which sums up the good times we all used to have on here and the Tapas Bar.

RIP Snowy

So sorry to hear this news , Snowy was one of the best and so generous ...... he and his lovely wife Pam invited us to stay with them rather than us use a hotel when we were attending a forum get together many years ago and the hospitality they extended towards us was Second to none. We met up in PP last September and despite not being in great health, he was on fantastic form and very positive about his plans for the future ...... including a much anticipated cruise to Japan which was sadly postponed due to the Coronavirus.

RIP Snowy
