A true gentleman, and someone I have had the honour to say hello to in his bars over many years. I saw him behind the bar only last Wednesday, chatting to his friend. God bless. Thoughts to all his family at this sad time.

I'm not speaking badly of the dead, but wow what a misery he was. There is the famous story that the Queen of Spain bought something in his shop (they often holiday in Mallorca) and he didn't even look up. Poor guy

I have removed the last 3 posts as i feel that cracking jokes on a thread that is reporting deaths is disrespectful .

Sparky, Malc and I are absolutely devastated by the sad news. As you know we met Bonyslad, and his wife Pattie, through this discussion forum. We had wonderful times with them, not only in PP but on many holidays together which included a fabulous Adriatic cruise, Miami, and Christmas markets to Vienna, Nuremberg, Bruges and Krakow. He was the kindest and most caring man, with an absolutely wicked sense of humour. Pattie doesn’t use this forum but I will pass on all the messages to her.

RIP David 💔
