Default In need of a bit of paint...?

We all love seeing the seaplane sculpture on the roundabout near the big Eroski when we arrive. We've often commented that for such an iconic installation, it really looks rather neglected these days.

Hans Monheim, a local talented photographer, has laid down the gauntlet on Facebook to one of the local Councillors and this has prompted Mr Nevado into saying that the sculpture will be re-painted by the end of the year.

I wonder if it will be done

Default Seaplane sculpture on main roundabout

Great news!
Hans Monheim has persuaded local Councillor Andrés Nevado to get the beautiful seaplane sculpture at the entrance to the port, restored & repainted.
Work has just started by excellent local craftsman Guillem of Ferrería Encruia.

Haha! You couldn't make this up!
Christmas lights have been draped around all the 'legs' of the seaplane sculpture today.

Perhaps they never had the budget for proper landing lights.
