Default Kindness of strangers

On Friday while driving to PP from the airport we were involved in a serious accident when a car hit us and then the car behind us, we ok, cuts, badly bruised and I have broken foot but VERY lucky, the men in the car behind were badly injured one is very serious. The scene was carnage with cars and bits of the cars completely blocking the road, it was several hours before it was all cleared, during that time many many people were extremely kind, two couples staying until the very end, we do not who these people were and its likely we will never see them again but we will never forget their kindness.
In a world that all to often we hear only of the bad things that happen this shows the many good people are still about. Hopefully the two men can go on to make a full recovery.

Glad to hear you're mostly ok, escaped the carnage alive and received the kindness of those strangers.
Fingers crossed for everyone involved making a full recovery.

Sorry to hear of your awful car accident. Hope you make a complete recovery, together with the other injuries people. Are you still in PP or returning to the UK?

We will be fine thanks we are here for two months so plenty of time to recover and we feel very fortunate as the Guardia Civil said we were seconds away from being killed.

oh - I've just seen the photograph and it's a miracle that you are alive - looks horrific. I hope you (and the other people) make a full recovery. And what a place to convalesce for 2 months.

Thanks for all the best wishes, hopefully the other two men will fully recover.
The driver of the Land Rover who was overtaking and coming towards us all on our side of the road has been arrested, the Police, who along with all the emergency services were excellent, said they cannot understand why when he could see the motorway was only 300 meters away he choose to overtake, he just missed the car in front of us that had time to swerve out of his way so must have seen the traffic on our side.
