Palma Cathedral visit with limited mobility
June 25th draws ever nearer!
Please could anyone advise on getting to see the Cathedral in Palma for someone with limited mobility? I cannot manage a lot of steps neither can I walk any great distance. Mainly I suppose i need to know on access from bus/train station? Where does one pickup the open top bus - and does it stop at the Cathedral? MTIA Nick |

if you're travelling from PP by bus (which is great) you will arrive in the big bus/train station across from Placa d'Espanya. It's very modern - and lifts or escalators will take you up to street level. It is about a mile from there - I presume that is too long walk, so you've got two options: 1. get on the open top bus which stops outside - but looking at the route on the attached, the nearest point to the Cathedral leaves you with a good climb up steps to reach it. https://city-sightseeing.com/en/25/p...ma-de-mallorca 2. get the local bus service - this gets you as close - but with no climb, although you wouldn't see the cathedral from where you'd get off (by the town hall). L2 Circumval·lació Centre Històric - EMT Palma either way Nick - go!!! the cathedral and Palma itself are, simply, fantastic. |
Thank you!
