We freeze a small bottle of water each night and find that does the trick

Not a good idea to reuse plastic bottles more ham a couple of times, if at all,as they harbour loads of bacteria which could potentially make you very ill. It's a double edge sword really because if you wash them in hot soapy water to kill the bacteria this breaks down the plastic, which can then release nasty chemical (BPA)

I used to do it all the time but now use a sports water bottle which is BPA free

Suggest substituting the wine for gin then.......should kill most things!

Seriously though, good advice Debz. Wouldn't have thought about that.

The Spar in Llenaire sells bags of ice in the back left hand corner fridge. We tend to buy a bag of this and put it in the cool bag with drinks as then you have ice to put in your cup/glass too! Works really well and as it is in a bag stays frozen for longer than you would think. You do end up eventually with a cool bag full of cold water but never been a problem to tip out at the end of the day.
