Question PP language question

When I was in PP, I could never work out the greeting given as passengers entered the bus to the driver - it sounded like "Bounos" - anyone know hat it could be please?

Buenas is a shortened informal greeting of buenos dias or buenas tardes/ noches.

The Mallorquin "Bon dia" (not sure about the spelling) is "good day"

Another one you hear a lot is luegos, shortened from hasta luego, bit like our 'laters'
