social media

I have seen that I am not the only one to have an obsession with the Port and follow most of the places I can on twitter. Am I missing out on facebook? are there many more places with facebook than Twitter? Who should I be following?
Where else can the daily fix come from?!!

Why are people so obsessed with "social media". Bit sad really......

A forum is part of social media!
Yes on FB but not twitter, loads of groups on PP and the surrounding areas, and also every bar and restaurant has a FB page and also lots of locals and residents as well, Also the council and political parties, police and Guardia, so a great way to get so much more info on the area. Good way to make friends as well, know so many more people in the area now.

I'd rather be in PP in person, but with social media it's easier to still the hunger.

And after all it's 'opt in', no one being forced to use any.

Thank you for your comments. As for social media being a bit sad, i agree that it fills the void of not being there, keeps us up to date with whats going on and lovely to see the port out of season.
Facebook it is then!!

sws97sdg 07-12-2016 11:28

Sitting in my office at work I cant think of anything better to do than to immerse myself totally in PP, albeit virtually! :)

i think there is a massive difference in using social media and being obsessed with the use of social media...anyone who doesn't think we are not building a whole load of trouble with the obsessive use of devices by a fair percentage of people today needs to read the numerous studies relating to this subject. People just don't seem able to wait 5 minutes to tell the whole world every little detail of their lives.

Sparky 07-12-2016 12:25

OK guys i think that's enough, this is starting to get personal and judgemental now :(.
