Default Car wash

Our hire car is parked under trees and the trees are full of wood pigeons and the car bonnet is covered literally in dropppings . Is there a car wash in the port as we don't fancy taking it back in this state!

Thanks

Yes there is one in the filling station but the one in Pollensa is better, if they are working .

If the droppings are baked on!! An auto car wash may not remove them!!
Many years ago I had a similar problem with parking under a starling roost.. The auto car wash made little impression, we had to buy a brush and shampoo and use very hot water and elbow grease!!

Good luck

Maybe not much use if you are in PP but as part of their range of car care products Auto Glym have bird poo removal wipes. A bit like baby wipes but with a few extra chemicals.

The idea is that you soak the poo with the wipe....... then clean off without the need for fierce scrubbing. The wipes also neutralise the chemicals (in the poo) which will attack your paint work.

That's the advantage of the car wash in Pollensa as they have an auto wash and also a pressure wash which you do yourself, both results are excellent. We found the one in the port was not always working.

Thanks for all your suggestions - like the bird poo wipes! In the end we (well OH) attacked the stuff with a mop and bucket. Got most of it off (or not looking too obvious) and when we loaded the cases to leave yesterday - it was nearly as bad again (overnight!) even though we moved the car , as we thought, out of range. Pinaret is a lovely area but watch out for the wood pigeons
