Well of course it is the thing to do for the wellbeing of the family .

The high dry heat I can cope with but humidity is another thing ..as you say it must be awful for those working in it 😢

Thanks for the tip Pollensafan but unfortunately they use a cheaper ice in the summer months and the quality of it is not so good..........it melts very quickly .

Do you mean the wine stays in the glass long enough for you to notice.?

Tut,Tut, must do better

On a more serious note, the humidity is the one that gets you every time. I can take anything else but that and it's even worse for Mrs P having to push me along in my bath chair as well

Wink Cool Summers

Hi Sparky

I must be honest ....... I would just love to have to put up with all that heat and humidity, and hopefully will have to later in the year ,,,,,,, but, I know how well you organized the weather in early May for my son's trip to PP, so I trust you will do the same for me.

As for appreciating our cool summers ..... forget it!!! Wouldn't miss them one bit!!!!

I don't usually complain about the weather, extreme heat and humidity is quite normal in August but this year has been exceptional we have had these high temps and humidity for weeks now, it drains your energy and i find because i am sweating so much i get cramp during the night. As i have said before i feel so sorry for the people who have to work in these conditions.

Having said all that i still wouldn't leave my place in the sun, this is my anthem :- https://youtu.be/W8lVPMWLCBQ.

Yes - we were there early June - ( we go early and late to avoid the extreme heat!) and it was unusually hot even then and doesnt seem to have changed at all - apart from getting even hotter. I guess the weather is waiting to change as soon as we land late September! (Then I will be complaining about being 'too cool)!!

Out here at the mo and it is hot, but we are staying on the south sandy beach area where there's always a wonderful breeze. We ventured to Laguna today and the beach near pine walk area was unbearable. So pleased we are this end (and have air con!!)
