Yes indeed, I much prefer the winters in the UK, that these days tend to start around October and last well into April the following year and yes, my tongue is firmly in my cheek

PS, 7.15 am on the 13th of July and I am posting this with the lights on and rain chucking it down. Oh to be in England, now that the summers here.

Lovely sunrise this morning went for my usual walk along the pine walk, it was getting hotter and hotter as I went, think we're in for it today, plenty of pool time for me.

Got to agree with you Varsp.....sad to say I was so glad to get out of that heat and humidity this year, it really was unbearable and you could really see the locals suffering too. Think I will stick to May, although was out in August last year and it was HOT and looking back at Sparky's weather reports high humidity too but for some strange reason I coped better then. One night this week on our balcony at 6.00pm the thermometer read 43.2c....

Two weeks in that heat was a challenge for us with toddlers, but we managed it by not actually walking around that much this visit!! Have never been so grateful for a/c in the cars, restaurants and shops - needless to say, I did a fair amount of shopping in order for us all to keep cool!!
