Question Query re Pollensa Golf

Have had this posted on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/puertopollensaguide (now on 2072 likes!)

"Does anyone know whether Golf Pollensa restaurant and/or golf club has closed due to administration and, if so, are there any plans to re-open. The restaurant has been excellent in years past so it would be an awful shame if this facility was no longer viable".

We had a drive around in April and saw people who were playing golf but am not sure what the overall situation is. Their website does not appear to work any more.

Closing the restaurant is excellent news . I had one of the worst meals of my life at the Golf Club - not just in Spain but anywhere. It was awful - both the service and the food quality. Absolutely nothing to recommend it. I was certain I'd posted a review back in 2008 but I cant find it now (my other 2008 reviews are still there and I've still got my write-up to remind me just how dismal it was).

Golf Pollensa restaurant was really good for a few years ago. People came all the way (by helicopter) from Palma to have lunch. The restaurant was ranked as one of the best in Pollensa. The course is open. Played there last month, didn't have a sandwich but a big glass f white wine
