Default Weather in February?

Hello everyone

I have an illness which gets worse in the winter, and I'm looking for somewhere mild to go next February, possibly for the month. Could you tell me what the weather is like then? and what's open, in terms of supermarkets, cafes etc. Also, which airports have flights at that time of year?

I hope this is right area to post this message - I tried earlier, but don't seem to have succeeded. Apologies if the message turns up somewhere else, too.

Many thanks,

Greta

Hi Greta, we sometimes get great weather in February but can also be cold and damp, i am afraid there are no guarantees but if you type "Weather 1st quarter" into the search box you will get some idea.
As for what is open do have a look at the "Bars and Restaurants open in winter" threads, the main supermarkets and Euromart are open all year round .

P.S, flights are not easy to get i am afraid.

Have a look at Cheap Flights - Find Cheap Airline Tickets with Skyscanner. It will show all routes to PMI, both direct and those with stops via Barcelona etc.

To be honest you would be beter checking out the Canaries or Madeira if you need to guarentee a warmer climate. A lot of the tourist accomodation in PP is not designed for comfortable winter living.

T he Costa del Sol is also worth a look, as that has warmer climes, as close to north Africa.

If you were able to go in January to Costa Del Sol, from Gatwick, fares start at £46 return, which is not a bad price!! Checked it twice this week, and it is very tempting.

Hello to you all

Thank you so much for your replies. You've all been so helpful, and it's shown me that I'm better off looking elsewhere in the winter, and keep PP for spring/summer/autumn.

with best wishes,
Greta
