Default Goats

OK so walking up to car park this morning to do first big shop at Eroski when came face to face with a goat (of the 4 legged variety) along Av Bochoris. Hadn't been out in the sun and the bottle of Xoriguer had not yet been opened so called Mr and Miss M to verify I wasn't certifiable (there was, I thought, an unnecessary amount of discussion at this point but they finally agreed). Relatives of said goat were also happily chomping along the new road behind the sports centre. They seemed quite unfazed by the traffic and barely looked up when we passed. I wondered if I should have reported them to someone (not sure who?) but my Spanish isn't quite up to walking into the police station and saying "excuse me but there's a herd of jaywalking goats along the main road". Anyone else see them?

This is normal behaviour of the goats in PP they come down off the mountain looking for more old goats..probably find a few too.. But seriously if you look up them there hills there's not a lot to eat. So why not drop down into town and see if someone's been watering their garden.. Yum yum.

I've seen them around La Font and as you say there's slim pickings around for them but have never seen them in the Port. However they were doing a grand job on the weeds - perhaps it's the councils idea of environmentally friendly weeding!

Default Goats

We have an apartment beside the Av Bochoris and often see the goats around the area. This year whole groups of them were down virtually every day much to the amusement of the kids (sorry!) in our group. They wander in and out of the gardens snacking on the trees and bushes - totally harmless and fun to watch

Trust me they are a total pain and are jumping walls and destroying Gardens one of my friends even had one in his pool. they may be amusing for an odd day or 2 but if you have a property with nice trees and gardens they are worse than Rats

They're actually on the menu in Los Zarzales! Look for "Cabrito de la cooperativa Pagesa de Pollença".
