There's also been storms and flooding where we live, in Cheshire, with the main road to Manchester airport flooded and closed for days. Fortunately, we escaped before the floods and are in the sunny Algarve! Just hope the road is open before we fly back at the weekend!

Thanks Copper. Since my report, have received pictures from our neighbour of our flooded garden and patio - just inches from entering the house through patio doors! Now really worried! But neighbour has a key and keeping an eye on developments. Never been that bad in 40 years we have lived there, and of course has to be whilst we are away😱

I hope Whaley Wonderer doesn't live in Whaley Bridge!!
The Toddbrook Reservoir is in a dangerous state above the town.

Good luck everyone, stay safe.

Only 2 degrees ? If the third one had been there they could have given you a rendition of, " When will I see you again"

It been truly horrible for days here in Lancaster with local flooding. Escaping to PP in one week’s time and cannot wait to get away from here!

Well I've avoided the yucky weather in the uk this week by being here in town... but I've got a horrific cold so I've spent most of my time in bed... great.

Hola!!!
Thanks Sparky for keeping us updated even though it looks like a trip out this year is null and void. On a positive note it is a sweltering 80 degrees here in sunny Glasgow phew!!!!

Same here in Leeds. Our lawn is all yellow and crispy, despite lawn food and watering !
My husband looks like he's been in the Sudan for a month.
