All that sun and heat of last week suddenly seems so long ago now, roll on spring, that's usually about January isn't it Sparky?

Winter may well have arrived, but 2 things you can be sure of. (1) it will be a damn sight shorter than ours (Britain) and (2) it will be a lot milder and brighter. oops, that's 3 things

Much colder than the same time last year me thinks! We were walking in short sleeves up on the mountains 23/11/12.

Them pictures are amazing...I read a few years ago that up until the early 20th century, and before refrigeration, a number of Mallorcan men use to store snow on the northern faces of the mountains in the winter. They would keep it in shelters that were covered from direct sun light - it would become packed ice which they would transport into Palma during the summer to cool food, drinks etc. It was amazing.
When you think the hardships our forefathers lived through, it's mind-boggling...we really are spoilt now - we just don't realise it.

What a change in the last few days.

Today when the car was parked up at the Formentor watchtower for a look over the bay:

Tuesday when the car had been parked in the full sun:

Not much chance of snow falling in Pollensa as it's raining too hard

Some lovely thunder and lighting earlier over Alcudia area.
( I was out walking along the bright blue alcudia beach path in the dark)
