Dots and asterisks

Hi, maybe in the wrong place and for that i apologise, also may have been asked before and if missed again i'm sorry But what do the green dot after my name and the three asterisks under my name mean please?

The green dot means you're online and the asterisks go from none to five depending on how many post you've made...................I think!

No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
