I'm always intrigued by the number of Scots in PdP, both visitors and ex-pats.

Did it start before the days of Globespan and if so why?

In the early eighties ‘Parasol Holidays’ were one of the first Travel agents/Holiday Company who chartered planes from British Airways and ran flights for their customers out of Glasgow Airport on a Saturday. This ran well for many years with great flight times, good accommodation choices and excellent service. When they folded I think in the nineties, Globespan surfaced and were big from Glasgow and Edinburgh, such a shame they also are no more (many Mallorcans used their flights to Edinburgh for city breaks).

When we first started coming to PP in the eighties there were a lot of Scots and French and now as we know it is rightly a favourite for many nationalities.

When the Gommar Apartments were built in the late 60's a number were bought by Scottish families and that was followed by a local Travel Agent (possibly Douglas Hodgson?) who specialised in holidays to PP.

My wife is Scottish and came to PP with her parents for regular holidays back in the 1970's.

That was how she knew about the place and introduced me to it.

We even came back with her parents in about 2001 and hired a villa in El Vila.

Sio the Scot's influence seems to go back many years...

Have you ever lived in Scotland.
( after reading he security post response by Tomir he is right the forum has lost its way a little you need some rebelisam to get people to respond that’s my take on it but I’m a REBEL.)
