Hello, I'm new to the forum. My wife and I are visiting Puerto Pollensa at the beginning of June for two weeks. We're really looking forward to it!

Default Roll on July!

Hello everyone! Me and Mr Bird have just booked 5 nights in July - woohoo! Staying in Pollensa town in an Airbnb apartment though. Am going to miss the Port a bit but I think this will make a nice change.

Any tips on where to eat/drink or nice things to do in the Old Town? Or threads I could browse?

Good to be back - hope you're all well!

LB xx

If you are there on a Sunday try Cellar Moli for lunch-wonderful food in a lovely setting-an old flour mill I believe-just down towards the Roman bridge. Great food any day actually; the best paella I have ever tasted!

Lovely to have you back Littlebird - So many things to do in the Town.

Don't miss Sunday morning market, and be sure to get into the square early for a nice spot of breakfast and people-watching.

A climb of the 365 Calvari steps is a must, with great views over to the sea from the look-out alongside the chapel. (Say hello to the collection of cats that live up there too!).

There is a second square at the bottom of the steps which is great for drinking and eating in the day, but is quite quiet at night.

I love the vibe of the old town. Very Spanish and you will be spoilt for choices for places to eat. The main square has a lovely atmosphere and July is such a nice time to go, as it will be warm till late into the night.

One of my favourite restaurants is Trencadora. Wonderful little courtyard, and hidden in one of the lanes off the main square. It gets busy, so is worth booking;

PP is only a 10 minute taxi ride (I recall that you stayed almost halfway between the Port and the Town last time)so a trip to PP is really easy.

I'm sure that you will have a great time!

Thanks all - nice to see the old "faces" on here

V impressed you remember we stayed in Gommar last time lovemallorca! We did the steps and the market last time so I know those are essential! Thanks for the tips on eating/drinking in the squares. We had lunch at Manzanas Y Peras in the little square at the bottom of the steps last time and it was a great spot to watch the world go by.

I'm so excited! We're bringing my mum who is a massive fan of Pollensa and PP although she hasn't been for years, so will be lovely to rediscover it together.

Manzanas Y Peras is the perfect shady spot for a drink, either before or after (or both!) walking the Calvari steps. Amusing name too.

I am sure that your Mum's love of the area will be renewed again. So many families pass their love of Pollensa from one generation to the next.

I love the Old Town - it's so beautiful and atmospheric, especially at night. Some great shops too. My ideal day would begin with a slow wander up the Calvario - then a fresh orange juice in the new Calvario square on the way down - a little shopping, then a menu del dia in El Moli or Spira. In the afternoon I'd have a look round the Dionis Bennassar gallery and then go to the main square for a Gelats Valls ice cream. Probably Trencadora in the evening because of the lovely courtyard, finishing with a cortado and a brandy back in the main square. Bliss.

I actually love the main square so much that I could sit there all day just watching the world go by....
