Just back from costa del sol (last minute break) nice people, nice weather, not a patch on PP. Just had to report that there is nowhere like PP. Hibby.

Ah....we're all queuing up for our next visit. Ten days and counting!

Every year we try to visit somewhere new, but in the words of the song "Nothing compares to you"!

Yes, I totally agree , the only issue is the getting there outwith the high season - still agonising over festive plans, no direct flights from Scotland, while we can get a flight to mainland Spain fairly easily. Just wish that we could 'teleport' ourselves to the Port as and when the inkling took us (that would be an almost daily trip!!)

Been to Marbella area several times, most reason golf courses.
We looked for apartments throughout the area, but nowhere can compete against PP. So we ended up buying one in this lovely small town :-) Best place ever! :-)

We visit a few different places each year but PP is the favourite

We always say thet if we could only afford one holiday a year it would have to be PP Just feel instantly soothed by the view of the sea and mountains Lovely beaches Really varied choice of Restaurants and just big enough for wandering

Also if weather is bad ( Hope not !) there are so many places to visit

The lack of winter flights is an issue though

Hibby ,have a look at ST CYPRIEN PLAGE or COLLIURE on the coast of FRANCE near to PERPIGNAN which used to be the capital city of MAJORCA, believe it or not.Been there 6 times, very quite & laid back, and very clean. Public transport costs 2 euros for a return trip to most places. MAJORCA VETERAN.

Hibby,
Interesting to see your post, as we were just discussing whether to return to PP in October or maybe try Costa Del Sol for a change. Can I be cheeky and ask where you went - so I can cross it off my list!!

Copper, your comment about feeling instantly soothed in PP - with the views of sea and mountains, is exactly how I feel every time we arrive in PP.
It is just the right size for wandering and has so many fabulous options for eating out. I think it's the perfect place! (I said this to my now husband the first time I showed him PP and he has finally agreed, there is nowhere like it)
I have in-laws living in both the Costa del Sol (in a lovely village) and in Kefalonia - whom we visit often... Both are beautiful places.
I also worked as cabin crew for years and visited many destinations.
But for me (and my young children) you cannot beat PP!!
After visiting as a child with my parents, I got married in the square, introduced many people to the place, couldn't wait to push my pram along pine walk a year later and have now spent numerous Christmas times, New Years and family holidays in the port.
I can safely say, PP is for me!

Oh, tis so true, nowhere better. I ADORED Nerja so much at Christmas that I returned for my 40th in February, and Malaga and Granada are fascinating cities, but I still felt a deep sense of contentment and happiness on returning to the Port at Easter. Oh dear, next Easter/summer seem so very, very far away...
