Default mozzies

when we were in PP in July this year we were mozzie bitten for the first time in the 9 years that we've been coming to PP, i know this was down to the june rain. We are coming back tomorrow and just wondered what the mozzie situation is, not that it will ever stop us coming back to our beloved PP.See you tomorrow.

Hi Gary, because it has been so dry there are not a lot of the little pests about but of course there are some, especially in the green areas. So if i were you i would still take the necessary precautions.

They are biting ! I got 6 bites on tuesday and I am well used to the mozzies over here. I even got bitten walking along the prom at 6pm. SO make sure ur protected.

Also got badly bitten by ants I think , while on a sunlounger at the pine walk.

....so it was the ants. I wasn't sure, never having knowingly been bitten by one before. I know I was being bitten and kept checking my sun bed but no sign of anything.... cunning wee sods ! :=)

I have just read in the latest Euroweekly that unless the temperatures drop soon there could be a plague of mosquitos .

The Only thing Mosquito's need is a good dose of DDT, pesky things produce nothing contribute nothing all they do is irritate. Wow I just made them sound like politicians LOL

Just returned from a glorious ten days of sunshine. Thanks to Sparky for the update on the mozzies. After just one day I found I had two bites both of which seemed to swell up more than usual. However I had brought my repair kit in anticipation.

Hi Bails, glad the sun shone for you. I hope that your bites have healed, it's crazy that the mozzies are still around in December .
