Default Bad service in Urgencias in Pollensa

Hey all, would just like to say,

I went to urgencias in pollensa today at 2:00 to sort out a problem for a friend of mine from the UK. quite a serious problem.

the woman ahd told me previously that morning to go by 1-4 and they would see to her.

I turned up with her national insurance card, and she took one look at it and said there are no doctors on service at the moment. at the time i saw 3 doctors walking in and out of there rooms.

I found her extremely unhelpful (I think its because she was we were English) she didnt really seem to bothered and was to busy chatting to her mate. I then started speaking spanish (I was speaking in English before) and I told her that I was not at all happy as she had told me someone could see my friend from 1-4. It isnt life threatening, but if it was, what? would she of died? or would they of taken her in?

In the end we got a apointment 1st thing monday, and im sorry to say that is just because I have live here my life and speak fluent spanish, if it ahd been my friend on my own, or I were a tourist I doubt there would of been any help wat so ever.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Im not sure about urgencias but the chemists in PP are brill! I tend to have had the opposite experiances. When i forgot my contraceptive, they happily gave me a months replacement. (although it took ages to explain!)When my daughter got an ear infection they quickly gave pain killers and things to clean ear with. When children needed vaseline a spanish substitute was found. Always good. Sorry you had bad luck.
