So good to be back in PP and will shortly be booking tests to return home. Important to note, and I have just checked the UK GOV site, that you do not need a PCR test (currently around €90 in the port) as an Antigen test (€30) will suffice 72 hours before departure

Apologies if this has already been mentioned by Juaneda Hospital group have a COVID testing centre in Formentor road (junction with Mendez Nunez - opposite Restaurant Na Riuxe.)

They have an online booking system (www.15minutetest.com/es) and the tests conform to all current criteria.

I think there are 2 or 3 test centres in the Port now. A resident posted a not very good report on FB of the one you refer to, she went to the Doctor Mallorca one on the sea front near to the tobacco shop and said it was excellent.

Apologies if this has already been answered. To return to the UK after Monday 19th, when Mallorca moves to amber status, is the antigen test still sufficient? Or do I need the full PCR? Thanks

An antigen test is still ok but you need a PCR on Day 2 in UK.

Playing golf last night and my phone pings to tell me ive been in contact with someone who has tested positive, so have isolate. It quickly transpires that someone on my plane who sent off their day 2 test was positive, so me and my pals despite being negative have to isolate until Tuesday. Was called early this morning to reinforce the message!

Ho hum, plenty to do in the garden and the Open is on telly!

Yes I have heard of this happening on alot of flights back from Mallorca.
I have decicded to move my holiday along a few days so that I return after the 16th August when it will no longer be a requirement to self isolate if you are deemed a close contact.

Dont forget, the day 2 test only has to be done BY day 2. There's nothing to stop you doing it at the airport as you walk out to the car park.
