You are right: May 15th is the date at which the restrictions become tougher/tighter, not the contrary (easier / more lenient).

I cried when I saw Debz's daughter's video and I think my husband wasn't far off tears. We've had our summer holiday in the Pollensa area every year since 2005 but sadly have just had to cancel our villa booking for 13 June. We've already booked the equivalent week in 2021 and will try to get to Pollensa in the autumn this year or next spring as well. We feel desperately sorry for all the businesses in the Port and in Pollensa town who rely on tourists. Vics' video really brought home how everyone's life has been turned upside down by coronavirus. We so look forward to being back in Pollensa and the Port and seeing all the familiar faces in the restaurants and shops. A big thank you to Vics.

I gather time restrictions for exercise etc are no longer applicable in Pollensa? I am just slightly confused re the time slot for over 70's, is that still a restricted time? Any clarification welcome!

Time slots no longer apply for municipalities with populations under 10,000 which Pollen a isn't however they may be treating the town and port as separate in which case they both are under. Does anyone know the answer?

The cities that must maintain the hourly restrictions are:

Palma City, Coll d’en Rebassa, Sant Agustí, Sa Vileta-Son Rapinya, Calvia, Santa Ponsa, Manacor, Llucmajor, Inca and sa Pobla.

Places with between 5,000 and 10,000 people are also free from restrictions including, Sa Creu Vermella, Son Ferriol, Can Pastilla, s’Indioteria, Es Secar de la Real, Porto Cristo, s’Arenal, Alcúdia, Puerto Alcúdia, Platja d’Alcúdia, Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa, Palmanova, Son Ferrer, Cala Rajada, Cala Millor, Can Picafort.

As i have said before, things are changing fairly quickly. Only on Saturday it was announced that towns with populations under 10,000 could scrap the time slots, Alcudia was on the list but not Pollensa, so i assumed that the Town, Port and CSV must have been classed as one, which seemed unfair considering the distance between them. Obviously this has now been rectified .

Exclamation

I have just read a post by an Ajuntament de Pollensa councillor in which she said they are waiting for a decision from the BOE, this was posted an hour ago so the MDB might have jumped the gun in their report.

Yes unfortunately the press and media get it wrong here sometimes as well . It's best to wait for official confirmation on any changes .

Does anyone have a good source for face masks in the port at present?

Have the chemists got any or have they all run out now?

Is there anywhere to get reusable ones, perhaps someone is selling homemade/bespoke ones somewhere?

or, if you have a good relationship with your dentist, …… That's where I got mine, although as we are now halfway through week 10 of Self Isolation, we haven't worn them yet.
We have written this year off I think, so have booked Hoposa Bahia for 2 weeks next year, and our son Chris, his family, and friends are booked for party of 9 at the same time.

Must say, after transferring to Costa Del Sol for past 3 years, it will be good to be back on our "stomping ground" of the previous 25 years.
