Default Healthcare Provision post Brexit

There is an article in The Times today that says that Spain will announce to day a plan to guarantee health care provision for British tourists and expats.

It will last until at leats Dec 31 2020.

Anyone got any further news on this?

Will the EHIC card still be valid until then?

Would be keen to hear if anyone picks up anymore detail on this.

Thanks

Chris

If there is No Deal the EHIC will finish on the 29th March but if a deal then will be ok until end of 2020. UK pensioners should have their healthcare protected if they are resident and UK offer same for Spanish in UK, others if working should be on Spanish health system anyway otherwise will need private healthcare as now or pay into Spanish system.
