Default medicines / pharmacies / prescriptions

I am led to believe that one can buy 'UK prescription' medicines such as antibiotics over the counter in Spain, without prescription?

Is that true? I get the odd attack of gout, & wonder if I need to get my supply of tablets - colchicine & diclofenac - topped up in UK before our next trip to PP the end of the month?

Hi smg.

We allways stock up on Amoxcillin antibiotics when we're in Spain, cheaper than UK (unless you live in Wales of course)and available over the counter.

Carl.

Wifey suffers from terrible migranes, and has to take Zomig for which you need a prescription in UK. You can buy it over the counter at most Pharmacies in PP and around

Hi...just to advise not all medicines can be bought without prescription....last year a friend of ours did not bring enough of his medication with him and was not able to buy it at the pharmacy....he had to make an appointment to see a doctor first - yet more euro's -just for a prescription...
