Default Official Translator

Hello,
Does anyone know where I can find "official translators". I have to get an official translation of my son's birth certificate to enable him to renew his residencia. It seems I cannot get it translated anywhere, I guess they must have an "official" stamp. Any suggestions?
Many thanks

All i can suggest is that you speak to a solicitor, there are a couple listed here :- Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca (Majorca) - Property Services.
You could also try contacting "Help Unlimited" or Mallorca Solutions", we have used both and they are very good .

There is a notary in Pollensa in the road (Pius X1) that runs parallel to the police station , he may be able to help,we have used him to make certified copies of our paperwork.

If you needs a really good legal translator for documents (Spanish to English) - I am happy to recommend Sara Willis.

She is a fully qualified solicitor in the UK and has carried out lots of excellent translations for us over the past few years to do with Dad's estate. She's happy to carry out translations of just one page to much longer documents.

She is a member of the Institute of linguists. She's also very reasonable.

You can contact her on Sarajwillis@aol.com

Many moons ago I think I had just that done at the British Consul as I needed an `offical translation´of my birth certificate. I think you will find it does not just mean a correct translation it needs a legal authority on it. I do not think this will come cheap.

Hi, if you are still looking, let me know, I am not a legal translator myself but I do work with one and will be able to get you a competetive quote.
