Default Bancaja merged with Bankia

The merger requires clients of Bancaja to re-register. No problem with that.
But the Bankia website requires re-registering for internet access.
I have spent some hours attempting to do this but the site will not allow me to insert the required branch code.
Anyone else having problems?

Jim

Default Bancaja to Bankia

I went in this morning, entered my NIE number and went straight to my account.

I had previouslly used Bankaja on line and entered my NIE number weeks ago.

There are lots of differences! On my account a debit to IKEA shows up as a debit to "A Large Store"!

Hope you manage to get it sorted out!

Best wishes,
The Gheko

Hi I called into the Bank and they set it up for me so it now works again you need your digital signature.

Hi Jim I am having exactly the same problem as you. Tried to register & I get an error message when I try to choose the branch. I have rung the helpline but as I don't speak Spanish its not much help! I have had to email the bank & will have to wait until next Tuesday for assistance. In the meantime I will try again tomorrow to see if the problem has sorted itself out - although not feeling too optimistic! Janice

Which part are you having trouble with? I have not had any difficulties. They have sent a letter advising of new account numbers but tell us that we do not have to do anything. The registry was needed to place your Identity number (dni or passport) on for internet access as far as I am aware.

Found myself with the same problem of not being able to login to my online account. I am in the port at the moment and am going round to Bancaja on Tuesday, to hopefully get it sorted out, I'll report back.

I take back what I said, I cannot access my account today. Whose idea was it to swap the accounts access over when all the offices are closed for 5 days!! As all banks were closed so our only option was to use internet banking and I have some important business transfers to make. Wasted 2 hours this am trying to beat the system but failed! Forum meeting could be held in Bancaja tomorrow instead of a bar!!
This is so frustrating. I cannot get through on the telephone either.... for obvious reasons. Happy Easter to Bancaja!!

I think there might be quite a few of us banging on the doors Tuesday morning. What is annoying me is that I was told that I had to have a bank card to access the internet bank for which I was charged 18 euros but now it appears you can get in with your NIE or passport number.

Hi. Deans croft I am in a similar position to you. When I logged on a couple of weeks ago a message came up which said my account was linked to my card which in turn linked to my pin no. Therefore I assumed (wrongly!!) that I could continue to log in as before without changing over to either registering with my passport or NIE. That will teach me to assume! We have a card each (which we are hoping to dispose of this year due to the cost & we dont use them) but would be very unhappy if I had got one purely to access Internet banking! Imagine Barclays or HSBC not having either Internet banking available or telephone support for 5 days .....

Well I am another disgruntled Bancaja / Bankia customer who has spent at least 4 hours this weekend trying to unravel the mysterious new Bankia website to no avail

I am sure they will be overrun in the branch with people trying to access on-line banking tomorrow morning - and I will certainly be one of them

See you all in Bankia tomorrow

We were a bit disgusted with the Bankia takeover. As we are not resident, we have had to close our account. When Bancaja were the bank we had a great relationship with the PP branch and Fabio is great. But with the monthly charges that were intoruduced since the takeover we cannot justify keeping an account with Bankia. Its a shame, as having the account was great and convienient, but for non PP residents, its just not worth it when visits are limited.

Default Bankia website

Am sorry to hear about all the frustration regarding the changeover from Bancaja to Bankia website. What a bad decision to make the change just before the Easter hols too

When visiting the branch, it might be worth asking for a Customer Comment form - or the 'libro de reclamaciones' so that you stand the chance of your complaints being taken seriously - and you may even receive a written response to your comments.
