Do you own a property in Gotmar?
 

If you do then you should be made aware that the AGM of the Gotmar Residents Association will take place at 7pm on December 9th in the Vecinos Association Hall on C/Mestral PP. The GRA was formed 3 years ago specifically to put pressure on the local council to get the local area roads attended to. They were successfull in getting a scheme approved to relay all of the roads over a 4/5 year period. The work commenced in October 2010 with the area around the Pollenca Park Hotel being done first. Regretably the change of administration after the local elections together with the `financial crisis´ has resulted in the second phase, due to start Oct 11 being delayed. There is a fear that now the `tourist sensitive´area around the hotels has been sorted the rest of the scheme may get forgotten. It is important that pressure is maintained!

Deanscroft thanks for posting this, it would be wrong for this essential work to be put on hold, the people of Gotmar have suffered long enough. Surely the money for the work had already been earmarked so what reason is council giving for this? :mad:.
