Default planning in advance

I know the weather at the moment isn't exactly conducive to thinking about the winter and central heating! But does anyone know of a heating engineer who charges reasonable prices and is good, who could fix my CH thermostat. It stopped working properly last winter and i struggled to find someone who would fix it at a reasonable price.
Many thanks
M
