Cool Sun Loungers

We are now going to replace our old sunloungers - which will be relegated to the pool area, as there is nothing really wrong with them, but the green plastic has discoloured, and the white plastic ones just look - yeuch!

Will go for the same type again, the ones that have the slats and can fold down for storage, not green though, and will be searching the area for the best price ones. We usually go to Llomgar to get the covers, but would like some ideas as to where the best price chairs are. Any help please?

Bella - try the hardware store in Alcudia next to Mercadona (sorry can't remember the name) They have a good range of furniture upstairs.

Shame Caprabo's gone because that is were we got all our Nardi furniture from

Plomer - the big DIY shop next to the out-of-town eroski on the Pollensa road sell garden furniture. Another possible is 'habitacle' (or something similar!) in Ca'n Picafort on the left-hand side as you go through on the main road. I should think Carrefour & Alcampo do them too.

We also got our chairs for the patio table...not loungers.. from the one next to Mercadona in Alcudia. Thery're the same as the ones at Stay! They have a great selection of all types upstairs and I could spend ages looking round the shop, it's an Alladins cave...we'll go together Bells

LOL! A thought, I'm wondering if the shop you are talking about next to Mercador is in fact the one I go to - Llomgar, the ferraterier (probably wrong spelling, it looks like they sell ferrets or something!) Hardware downstairs - patio bits upstairs?
We bought a lovely wrought iron stand for the umbrella, but its always too windy to put it up anyway! I must work out how to make a feature of it somehow - stick a plant in it or something!
I LOVE looking at all the hardware bits and pieces in any of those shops, all the lovely hinges and tiny bits and pieces, all the different handles and taps etc., so different from the ones back in B&Q.

I have just been informed that all the lovely sun loungers etc I bought last summer have gone black along with everything else, having been left in the garage.
I suppose this means the plastic as well as all the cushions. How annoying!

Does anyone know of any fantastic new product that may help remove this?

I think i'm into replacing everything again which is a pain but thought I would just ask just incase.

Thanks,

I wonder if good old bleach would work? May take colour out of cushions but at least maybe able to use as spares. Can you paint plastic to hide the black?

Not really DIY as is evident - just don't want to replace unless really have to.

I think that the fact that we left them out over the last two winters, has also made them brittle as well as discoloured. Cushions are seperate so no problem with them. I'm going to buy new white ones, and then make sure I put them inside at the end of the season this time.
Bleach may work though eleanor, if you prefer to have a go that way, but I would think it would be a pretty long job as would need a couple of goes at it all over.
