This sounds extortionate - what is the breakdown of these costs. If thats the price for a 'change over' I am on my way - I want the job please.

It is cheaper to buy a set of bedding to send out with each renter with the instruction to put in the bin at the end of their stay, then to pay to have them washed! The cost of cleaning, laundry, garden, pool etc etc is very expensive in Pollensa. It came as a very big shock to us when we moved from the apartment to the villa. This was especially the case as we found we were 'very much alone' not being part of a community anymore. This meant we were like bate ready to be eaten! In other ways though, it was nice to be responsible for our own actions and not to be in someone else control - can't have it all ways!

£120 does seem very expensive

Our cleaning bills are 12€ per hour (normally 3 hours on a changeover) and on average a 45€ laundry bill for a 3 bed apartment. These prices haven't increased for 5 years.

I shall be there again next week, Flight £147.90 Villa £165.03 Car 116 Euros (£109) total £421.93 +petrol .For that I have flight 3 bedroom villa with pool, plus transport. This must represent excellent value for money at£211 each for the wife and myself. This is about average for the last 5 years

Just don't know how anyone can think of renting out a 3 bedroom villa with a pool for £165 - What with all the costs etc they must be running at a great loss. Certainly for us it would be very out of pocket!

Debz - You are getting a bargain at 12 Euros per hour for your cleaning - we pay between 15 and 20 depending on time of year! Laundry incresed this year to 20 Euros per person to include towels. Much more expensive than UK.

Have to say I'm very pleased with the service as everything is done to a high standard...and I'm very fussy ;)

Eleanor, I think whoever is doing your cleaning is taking the michael and you should shop about.

Debz, the cleaner we are using after Lynne went away is charging the same rate 9euros/hr. Susan is very demanding also but was greatly impressed when we were over for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago. (I think you might have been there at the same time also).

We have a strict policy were only friends and family use our apartment, the arrangement is they leave the apt as they found it, there's plenty of clean linen there, all they have to do is give it a quick clean, strip the beds, pop in the washing machine and leave to dry. Used to use a cleaning co. but not happy with the job done and quality of the cleaning or the price they charged.

Appreciate you cannot do this to persons unkown, but it does work very well.

I pay 14 euros an hour for cleaning and they also look after the place for me
as they are in PP on the main road...no complaints yet?

Hi Maria, we are in the process of buying an appartment in Puerto Pollensa and will need someone to look after it and clean after friends/family visit. the quotes I have received so far are quite scary. I'd love the details of who you use so I can speak to them too
