Default Buying Electrical Equipment in Puerto Pollensa

We have just bought an apartment and would like to order electrical equipment for delivery when we come out for a few days early November. We need a TV, Sattelite, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. Can anyone tell me the website address or telephone number of a good supplier? I have read about Confort in previous posts but cannot find any information on them when I put the name in Google.

Hi there,

if you are coming out for a few days, I would suggest that you visit Confort, the one on the corner (?EHISA) & Reus. We've bought stuff from all 3 & nornally visit them all to compare prices & to compare the ranges. You can often get delivery on the same day or if not the next day so personally I would check them out first.

For small items, I would probably go to Carrefour on the way from the airport but I prefer to buy larger stuff that needes delivering & may need servicing etc. from the local places.

Satelite installation is a separate issue (& will take longer) & there are posts elsewhere on the forum.

Enjoy your new purchase!

Thanks for the info. Do Confort or Reus not have a website so at least I can see what they sell before coming over? Are they actually in PP?

Hi Jenksy,

We bought most of our electrical bits in Alcampo. We found them to be much cheaper than the Port and they delivered larger items very quickly and economically.
As well as the smaller bits needed we bought a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and even our oven from them and can honestly say they should be awarded 10/10
Good luck!

Am afraid I'm not aware of any websites for them. Yes they are both in PP on c/ Xaloc & Vicente Buades - see the map Map of Puerto Pollensa, Majorca - Central Marina Area & look for Grid Ref E7. Carrefour & Alcampo have websites - see listings on Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca Majorca - Shops, Markets

Default In praise of Confort - again!

We had a power outage in my apartment during the night during our last stay in PP in Oct 09.
In the morning, I tried my best with the fuses but couldn't get the power back on. I called Confort and within half an hour their technician was at my apartment. He carried out a full check and got the power back on - it turned out to be a faulty kettle. Total cost 12 euros - how's that for value & service!

What fantastic service! Such a nice change to hear of this especially as there have been many posts relating to being ripped off in PP.

Having heard this Confort are now in my 'little black book' for future needs. As I have said previously, I tend to buy in the likes of Alcampo as it is usually a little cheaper. I think with service like this in future I will be supporting the locals.

We are dead lucky as one of the Confort engineers lives in our block so we have an in-house maintainance man! Tony Reus has always sorted our satellite dish out quickly when 'moved' by the wind - he installed the system for the block but we bought out our receiver from the UK as it was cheaper than buying in the Port. Alcampo service excellent - ordered one day and delivered the next at exactly the time quoted.

Yes, we found Alcampo were excellent with their delivery too. Different attitude too from the UK, isn't it? We are so used here to 'sorry madam - can't give a time could be between 7am and 7pm'!!
Certainly can not fault their delivery system.
