Default Gas BBQ bottle delivery

Does anyone out there know of anywhere that delivers gas BBQ butano bottles? Fed up with lugging them back to the apartment when we haven't got a car

GG, ask one of your neighbours what day the "Butano man" comes. Where i live it is on a Monday, you put your empty bottle out and listen for the lorry to sound the horn (cant miss it, it will wake the dead) then you go out and pay the man, simples.

Hi GG, we are in Gommar too and leave our empties out on a Wednesday. The man comes anytime between about 10.00 and 1pm. Best to leave out as he will then stop nd find you.
Word of warning though - try to leave somewhere where you can see as we put 4 out in October last and someone took them - no-one saw anything of course! The empties have quite a value too so best to be careful.

Regard, Eleanor

Best to put your

If he cannot find the owners of the cannisters he will take them too!It may be obvious to us we need replacements but not to them.

Ahhh thanks for that. It didn't cross my mind that this may have happened. I wonder if there is anyway to claim back? Too late now, I suppose.
They are so expensive too!

I think I will invest in a small trolley and go to the shop! A good excuse to stop at the odd bar on the way back - they are so heavy

Hi GG, check out the price of a gas refill first. I was told that the garage and shop charge more. The butano man charges €10.50.

Very true GG but i have found the Butano man comes at roughly the same time every week, between 1 and 1.30, so i put the bottle out just before he is due.
I haven't heard of any bottle thefts here in the centre but i know The Hideaway had some full bottles stolen from their garden earlier in the year.
