Default Moving To Pollensa

Hello all,
We are in the process of buying a business in the port and we're looking to rent an apartment in approximately 4 weeks time for a minimum of 6 months.
Ideally a 2 bedroom, town centre area.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

PS. We will be bringing our dog with us.

Hi 1882 and welcome to the site.

Have a look on the left in the Before You Go section and select a few apartments and send them an e-mail asking would they consider a long term rental...with a dog !

You should get some response and it's better to go direct. However, it's a really bad time to try as they will have their clients staying throughout the summer.

Best time would be in October when the majority of apartments will be empty.

Only a few will consider a longer term rental. Also in the same section on the left click " Local Rental Agents ". They sometimes have properties on their books for long rental. As a rule, it is 2 months rental costs as deposit and one months rental up front. Ensure you have a contract and establish who pays the utility bill's etc !

Good luck with the move and keep me informed of your progress.

PWS.

Smile Moving to Pollensa

Good advice from Pinewalkstroll!

You may want to have a look in Talk of The North. Occasionally there are adverts for long-term lets.

Web site is www.talkofthenorth.net

I hope this is useful.

Good luck. I hope you enjoy Puerto Pollensa as much as I do!

Well done...who did you rent through in the end?...

We plan to look at the same thing next year and were wondering who would be best to rent through ...

...and what the going rate for a 6-12 month rent would be?...

Thx!

Hi Shotokan,

We rented through Engel & Volkers, 2 bed apartments ranged from €700 - 950

you could possible get a better deal for a 12 month rental.

Regards
tb

Good luck with the new business tb!

We've been out for the last month and did some research which co-incides with the rental values that you've shown...looking at around 9k pa, although given the impact of the credit crunch everywhere it may be that prices and availability do improve over the next year IMO.

All the best...
